Frequently Asked Questions
When will I receive my glasses?
We normally say to allow 10 working days for us to dispatch your glasses, however this varies depending on your order. Coated lenses, varifocals and higher prescriptions may take slightly longer as they are specially surfaced. We always aim to dispatch as soon as we can! We ship all orders via Royal Mail's Signed For delivery service and once orders have been dispatched and are out of our hands, we will be able to provide a tracking number so that you can track your parcel with the postal service directly.
Do you deliver outside of the UK?
Unfortunately we no longer accept orders from overseas, including the use of prescriptions not issued in the UK.
Do you offer Varifocals or Bifocals?
We do offer varifocals both online and in-store! See the varifocals tab for all of our varifocal-suitable frames. We don't currently do bifocals online.
Can I try before I buy?
Unfortunately, we don't offer a 'Try Before You Buy' service online. However, we do have 8 stores throughout the West Midlands and Staffordshire, where you can try on over 500 frames, including store exclusives that you can't currently buy online.
Do you do eye tests?
Sorry, we are unable to carry out eye tests at Direct Specs. However, we do accept prescriptions from any optician, so once you've had your eyes tested you're welcome to visit us after to purchase your glasses at up to 70% off the typical High Street price.
